Illustration Friday: Forward

This week's topic for Illustration Friday is "Forward." I think about when you are a kid and you are staring at someone or something in class and your teacher says "eyes forward." In this instance this class of wolves sees the new student in the class. I'm not sure if the narrative works better with one of the desks empty or not. Any thoughts?

Haha - that's funny! I'm a Pre School teacher and this resonates. Gotta find s/g that grabs their attention! i like it w/ one empty desk. For the newcomer.

So cute and well done! That poor new kid! I like the empty seat, too.

really nice work, I'd go with the empty seat, it's great they have to walk past all the wolves to get to the seat.

Hahahaha! Ohhhh boy. I feel for the new guy. Really. When he gets to his empty seat, they'll all be looking backward.

Love the illustration, and I love the name of your blog too! :D

Oh, I love it! I'm nostalgic now, it reminds me when I was a child, my teacher, the class... I really love the colours too, very vintage :)

Very clever & fun! I like the point of view — and definitely the empty seat.
